This membership is designed for children in both age groups who are afraid of the water, are unable to put their head underwater, blow bubbles or float. They are not yet able to swim independently and can only move in the water with the help of swimming aids.

The goal of the membership is for each child to be able to swim 25 metres continuously, with or without a swimming aid.

From what age are the courses suitable for children?

The children’s courses are suitable for children from the age of four. The child should be able to understand the instructor’s instructions and respond to them.

How can I register myself or my child for the course?

You can register for the courses online using the booking system at www.royalswim.eu/en/courses/ + course registration. Registration for courses begins one month before the start of the course. Online registration is also possible during the course.

How long does the membership last?

The length of the membership depends on the number of weeks in the given period.

a. The membership for the first semester typically starts in the second week of September and lasts until the end of January, i.e., until the end of the first semester.

b. The membership for the second semester starts immediately after the first semester ends, i.e., at the turn of January/February, and lasts until the end of June.

What is the membership fee?

The membership fee depends on the number of training sessions in the given period (number of weeks) as well as operational costs, so it is not fixed but changes with each course. The current membership fee can be found during the registration process at www.royalswim.eu/en/courses/. If you wish to register for 2 courses per week, two separate registrations and two separate payments are required. This also applies to registering for 2 or more members, such as children, relatives, etc.

How and when is the membership fee paid?

The membership fee is paid via bank transfer or by scanning the QR code. The code, along with your login details for the system, will be sent to your chosen email after completing the registration. The semester membership fee is evenly divided over 5 months, and at the end of each month, the system will automatically send you a payment reminder. When making the payment, please ensure you use the generated variable symbol so that the payment can be properly matched.

What should I bring to the course?

For the course, you need to bring swimming trunks, swimming goggles, a towel, footwear suitable for the pool, and a swimming cap if you have long hair.

How do I properly place myself in the appropriate skill group?

Swimming courses for both children and adults are divided into three skill groups: beginner, intermediate, and advanced swimmer. On our website, you will find a brief description of each group, the skills the swimmer should have at that level, and the goal of the course.

What are the organizational guidelines for the courses?

At the start of the course, i.e., before the first lesson, we always meet at the pool reception 15 minutes before it begins. You will receive a swimming club membership card, which you will need to present before each pool entry. From the second lesson onward, we meet 5 minutes before the start at the pool, where you will hand over your children. You will also pick up your children there at the end of the lesson.

Can I just come and watch how the pool course is going?

During your half-year membership, you can choose up to 2 lessons to observe. However, appropriate clothing, such as shorts or pool shoes, is required. Parents without suitable clothing will not be allowed to stay at the pool.

Can I or my child make up a missed lesson?

Each member, whether a child or an adult, can make up as many lessons as they cancel in time during their ongoing membership period. You can cancel through your profile or your child’s profile exclusively via the reservation system Paysy – www.paysy.app. By canceling in advance (at least 12 hours before the lesson starts), one make-up lesson will be created. This can be used at any time during the ongoing membership for a lesson where there is availability and the appropriate skill level. Unused make-up lessons can only be carried over if you purchase the next semester’s membership. If you do not purchase the next membership, unused make-up lessons will be forfeited with no financial compensation.

Do lessons take place during holidays?

During holidays, neither children nor adults swim. If a holiday or break falls on a weekend, lessons will not take place. The dates for all lessons are listed in the Paysy reservation system – www.paysy.app. These lessons are already accounted for in the membership fees, and you do not pay for them or make them up.
